Cats always have a way of communicating with us. In fact, house cats literally learned to meow so that they could manipulate human behavior. Cats don't meow to other cats. So maybe there are other ways that cats are attempting to speak to us. Cat-munication has been studied for centuries to no avail and it seems like kitty communication is more complicated than we suspected.
There are a few things that seem to be posititve though. When a cat brings you a dead animal, it's sort of like a "thank you" and they're expecting to be praised for protecting the house from vermin. But what does it mean when a cat brings you other things, for example, if they destroy your phone charger then bring you back the body of a garter snake, is that an omen/warning? Or are they hoping to replace your cords with a new one? Cats certainly are complicated and we may never be able to know their true language, but we will continue to pspsps and do our best.
