Ah, we remember it like it was yesterday. One magical morning, we spontaneously decided to go to the animal shelter. While we weren't necessarily planning on adopting right there and then, we couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with emotions as we saw all the doggos and puppies in their cages just waiting to be rescued. That's when we saw our girl, our puppy. She was quiet and relaxed, but had the most gorgeous brown eyes - and so we were hooked. It was at that moment we decided that she was coming home with us. We were so excited we couldn't wait to get back.
But the second we brought her home, it hit us. Suddenly, we were bombarded with mixed feelings and fear. We thought to ourselves, "What have we done?! This is such a big step with so many responsibilities". We started doubting our parenting skills and wondered if we made the right choice after all. But as a few days passed and reality had sunk in, all those worries took a backseat to the love we felt for her.
We guess all we're saying is that while puppies are a huge responsibility and require tons of time and dedication - it's oh so worth it. Every parent struggles with fear and anxiety that they won't be perfect for their kid, but as long as we put in the effort it'll all be okay.
We're starting things off strong with this powerful meme right here. A meme so powerful it gives you hope and reassurance that this crazy puppy stage will pass. On the one hand, we love them being tiny and smol but on the other, we can't wait for them to grow and mature ??
Taking our pup to the dog park is both a blessing and a curse. While she loves to run around and play with everybody, she also loves to eat all the sticks and rocks that she can find. She be acting like we don't feed her at home ??
