‘I’m a Wolfie’ : 30 Fiercely Cute German Shepard Pics That Their Wolf Ancestors Would Be Proud Of

Hello everyone, and welcome to an episode of 'What is a wolf-dog?'. Just kidding, but we'll give you the basics real quick. For those who don't know, a wolf dog is a hybrid of a wolf and a domesticated dog – among those breeds, are our dearly beloved German Shepards. While it is true that all dogs have some wolf in their ancestry, an animal can only be considered a true wolf dog if they have a pure wolf ancestor within the last five generations. 

 

German Shepards need a lot of space – and what we mean by that, is that it is best to raise them if you have a lot of wild nature surrounding your home. They love to run around in the open and have a lot of energy! They also need a special diet – they need a lot more than just regular doggo kibble. One last adorable fact… they tend to howl, a lot. Just like a wolf! As we said, it's truly best to raise them near open spaces, lest your neighbors complain.
