This 'badministrator' is as bad as they come — imposing her entitled wrath on former students who she has deemed of being unworthy. There's nothing quite like an adult in a position of authority who feels as if they have the right to pick and choose the fates of the children they have been entrusted care over. We want to think that these people are free of the urge to play favorites — I grew up foolishly thinking this was true — but, as my experience in University athletics taught me, this is seldom actually how these people operate.
The truth is these people: teachers, principals, coaches, etc. are just that: people; burdened by the same limitations of self-awareness and personality flaws as the rest of us (maybe even moreso.)
Favoritism is something that is as natural as the very existence of relationships themselves; the relationship and connection we develop with each person will be different, as will the way we interact with them — this only naturally leads to more favorable types of interactions and feelings of similarity with some people. However, it is imperative that, when we're in positions of authority, we check ourselves and ensure that we are being as impartial as we can be with our decisions. As you've probably already been thinking to yourself… This is more self-awareness than many people in these positions are capable of. The end result is, well, this story.
It admittedly can be a little hard to follow the narrative of this story, but the crux is this: This bad school administrator (Ms. L) acts like a total Karen to this former student (who is on hiatus from college and working at the local K Mart) and other retail staff. Meanwhile, the student mentions the praise they have been receiving from their manager (Ms. Lily.) The school administrator (Ms. L) picks a fight with Ms. Lily's boss (the student's boss's boss and General manager, Bob.) Bob isn't a fan of how Ms. L is treating his staff, so when Ms. L parks in a handicapped spot, he has her car towed as karma for her actions.
