Font - bosses decide not to run payroll over the holiday weekend... and didn't warn us 9:24 L Í › 1/2 Hey I did not get paid this weekend, the last time i got a deposit was 11/10. Font - to me ✓ I was not given the approval to run payroll. You will have to reach out to 9:24 AM 9:16 AM I'm sorry can you explain that? Did everyone not get paid? Why wasn't I told that there would be an issue with payroll? This puts people in a terrible position, especially on a holiday weekend. Reply Available add-ons: → Forward

Font - CommercialBox4175. 3 hr. ago Thoughtless boss. Boss likely has a few hundred thousand saved up, can't relate to workers living check to check. 139 Reply Share

Font - MoistyestBread. 1 hr. ago My company pays us a day early before a holiday if bank interruption is involved. It's really not difficult at all, and there's really no gain to delaying pay. (Maybe marginally) so any employer that does so has a significant lack of perspective and understanding of how much money the average person has to live off of.

Font - endoire 2 hr. ago I don't work unless I'm paid. If a paycheck is missed, I quit working. Your entire team needs to do this.

Font - Conscious-Gain3259. 2 hr. ago Contact the Department of Labor. If they willfully chose to pay you late, your employer is going to owe you a big chunk in penalties. The penalty is big and I guarantee it will never happen again.

Font - po3smith 2 hr. ago Regardless of the company's profitability, the amount of employees what the job entails, etc. it doesn't matter if you do not get paid all work stops until you get paid. Regardless, if you work a cash register for a line at the drive-through or car wash. My hands stop performing your tasks until I get paid.

Font - ChewieBearStare 3 hr. ago This is giving me flashbacks to my last boss. I'd say payroll was late about 50% of the time. He'd say payday is the 1 and 15 of the month, but what he meant was he would run payroll on those days. Sometimes he didn't run it until 8 pm or later, so the bank had already gone to the next business day. Then it took two business days for the money to hit your bank account. So if the first fell on the Friday of a holiday weekend (federal holiday on Monday) and he didn

Font - Wise Coffee 38 min. ago Hahah. So I run payroll at my work. And I can assure you I must stay late if there is an issue with pay to sort it out. I don't get to leave with out it being fixed or having a plan to get everyone paid. If my boss won't give me approval I must go to her boss no less than 48 hours before pay is to be deposited into staff accounts to get the approval. Once I have that email that says "go" i do the banking to make it go.

Font - Cartercentral. 2 hr. ago I hope for you it's just a screw up and not a cash flow problem. Wages and taxes should always be an employers highest priority creditor.

Font - AeternusNox Why is your coworker at work if they weren't paid? . 32 min. ago If your employer doesn't pay you, they've breached your contract of employment, they've not only rendered it void but they've opened themselves up to legal action. The next time they'd be seeing me would be with a lawyer.

Font - xxrth 24 min. ago We got paid 1 day late at my work. I showed up whenever I wanted to that day "oops no gas money, gonna be 2 hrs late". Everybody was pretty much slacking that day, they didn't say shit to anyone.

Font - divingyt 21 min. ago Companies will sometimes do this so they can get that little bit of interest, or like a previous employer did to it's entire company team payroll late so their earnings report looked better. Burn the place down.

Font - Jellyfish Melodic8013 19 min. ago You said "a problem with the vendors again?" Which means this has happened before?! Also, how inconsiderate to not pay everyone BEFORE a holiday! Banks weren't closed on Friday either! This is a cash flow problem.

Font - BeautyIsTheBeast383 - 1 hr. ago They're only allowed to "hold" checks for so long depending on frequency; weekly, bi weekly, semi- monthly. If you were already subject to 10 day holding and this pushed it back further you may have a complaint with wage and hour.
