Font - My idiot boss just lost $300.000 Dollars over 30 cents This just happened and I am furious about it, I need to vent. I work at an office that sells commodities around the world. I work in sales and despite having a small salary I can make good money with commissions. After chasing them for many months I finally got a client that was willing to buy a lot from us, they made an order worth $300.000 usd. My commission was 10% ($30.000 usd).

Font - Everything was ready, and the client made the payment, but our bank would take 0.1% commission for the transaction (which is a lot, but is also standard practice), so 300 bucks. My idiot boss decided that we shouldn't pay for those 300 dollars, so he rejected the payment and told the client that they should send more money to cover the 300 dollars. The client was understandably angry, but decided to make the payment again, this time for $300.300 usd So this time, after the bank took it's

Font - For those miserable 30 cents, my idiot boss decided to reject the payment again and told the client that they should pay for those 30 cents as well. The client was so angry, he called my boss every name in the book and then decided that he doesn't want to make business with a company so petty.

Font - or New_me_20 17 hr. ago . Worked at a company where the general manager of our office/area fought the client over $10-20k. Cost us a $40+ million dollar contract that would have gone up as time went on. Office closed less than a year later. Me and a coworker tried to tell them to eat the cost cause they were ready to just hand us the contract and they wouldn't budge. Would have made us the most profitable office in the company. Oh well I guess. 1.2k Reply Share

Font - Equivalent Bid_6642. 17 hr. ago Why give notice? That isn't a law, there is literally nothing a company can do to you (in the US at least) for just leaving. Just leave, don't come back, don't answer phone calls, nothing, just leave and never look back. 227 Reply Share

Font - MocartKugel 17 hr. ago . I mean, I get it... but I would pay not only those 30 cents out of my pocket but probably those 300$ as well, just not to bother the client... take my commission and quit if that was the feeling I felt later... 126 Reply Share
