Despite whatever you might have heard, cats are incredibly intelligent creatures. Sure, they have their dumb moments when they randomly run into walls because chasing… something, but they have very strong instincts, and they definitely know and understand more than they let on.

Now, put on top of that the fact that cats are very dominant creatures who want to make sure that everyone knows their place in their home, and you find yourselves suddenly dealing with some funny situations. Like cats shamelessly stealing dogs' beds and just- lying there, showing off that they stole it. Or like cats completely taking over their human's Zoom calls, because what do you mean 'the human is paying more attention to the screen than to me?! All of the attention should be on me!' Or… situations like the one today - where the cat easily spotted the one non-cat person in the room and hilariously decided to just sit on her and stare at her. And go viral on twitter.

This whole situation is honestly just- so amazing. As cat people, the thought of a cat doing this to us - choosing us in such a manner, sitting on us and practically asking to be petted - that's a dream! But it's not a dream in this case.

We would bet actual money on the fact that this cat knows this person wants nothing to do with it and is just making them uncomfortable on purpose - because cats are just jerks like that, and we love them for it. This is… absolutely hissterical to us, and we are not surprised by it going viral at all.
