Dating can be extremely disappointing. Usually when you meet a new candidate, you tell your friends about it and immediately the ones in relationships will disapprove. They'll say something like, "I don't know, there's something shady about him". Obviously, at the time, you'd say screw your friend, this one's different and they're cuter than my last boyfriend. Well, turns out your friends in relationships have some secret radar that you don't, because every Hinge date just turns out to be worse than the last. At this ate, you'll settle for a nice guy who lives in a basement and has a hook hand— as long as he text you back and stays faithful. With the ever-shrinking dating pool, it's hard not to feel like you're probably better off staying single, but Lord knows you'll always keep trying. At least you'll always have your friends at your side to keep you honest about how low your standards are plummeting.
