Viral Twitter Thread: Funny Moments With Dogs Who Only Understand One Language

There are so many funny moments that happen on a day to day basis with our doggos. Dogs are just… so funny sometimes. Everything that they do is somehow undeniably perfect. And funny. Dogs make funny expressions that we just cannot help but giggle at. Dogs can be the biggest divas, overreacting and exaggerating yet still winning our hearts with their personalities. Dogs are incredibly clumsy sometimes, and after the initial burst of 'oh my god, please tell me he's okay', we totally laugh at their ridiculousness.

There are funny moments with our puppers every single day. And one of them, at least with our puppies, comes while watching them interact with our parents. See, our dogs only understand English, which our parents do not speak, and that makes for some funny highly confused interactions with them. Because yes, dogs are monolingual, and yes, that's funny to think about, but that's the whole dang point.

It is 100% true that if you want your dog to understand multiple languages, you have to teach it multiple languages. It's not just the tone of your voice or the gesture that you make. Dogs are really smart, and they absolutely understand only the language that we teach them.
