Some people are a little less self-aware than others, and sometimes they need some gentle nudging in the right direction. Then again, everyone has their own perspective, and none is better than the other… yet still, there are some universal things that people agree on, and these things often have to do with basic vision… of the eyes. If someone is super attractive, you can just tell. They may not be your type, but you can still objectively say that they are attractive. When someone is not so attractive, same thing. And for the record, someone can be less attractive from a societal perspective, but you could still be attracted to them, and they may be more your type than others who do fit the (crazily high) social standard of beauty.
Don't mind me going in circles, though. This article is about a post I found on r/AITA, of a man who sat his friend down and told him quite bluntly, that he should lower his standards in regards to dating. This is less about how attractive his friend is, and more about his friend's double standards. This friend, you see, was not blessed with good-looking genes (which is fine), and does nothing to make himself look more 'attractive' (again, totally fine) — yet he does believe that the women he dates need to meet a certain physical standard — while he doesn't hold himself to the same standards. He is, as you can imagine, very single.
I'm kind of torn on this post, but you're welcome to take a look and judge for yourself. Because that's what we do here, after all. We read posts on the internet and judge strangers. Cuz it's fun. So sue me. And while we're on the topic of reading posts on the internet, feel free to check out these random memes for a good laugh, because they basically define reality.
