Font - Posted by u/bouncy_bouncy_seal 1 day ago Karen calls the police because she hasn't had an answer to her phone calls I work for a department for a school district. My department deals directly with students and parents. Today was the first day back for everyone and phones were ringing off the hook. Karen tried to call, but couldn't get through. Her solution was to call the police (who then called us).

Font - Fluid_Mixture_6012 1 day ago I feel you. My MIL once called the police EMERGENCY line to complain about the electric company not picking up her 10th call for the same issue. She then called me frantic to say the police hung up on her. Reply Share 782 vizkiz - 23 hr. ago What did she do when you hung up on her? 352 Reply Share

Font - Fluid_Mixture_6012 - 23 hr. ago I actually didn't. I tried to explain how she was being irrational and wasting resources. You understand this did not go down as it should. So she hang up on me and called my husband. He shut her down faster than lighting. 338 Reply Share LoneWolfpack777. 16 hr. ago Good husband. 38 Reply Share

Font - COVID-19-4u 16 hr. ago My father once called Direct TV to complain about his TV service. He said they did nothing to help his problem. He then calls spectrum to complain about the internet service. Again they couldn't help him. Both times he was on the phone for over an hour with customer service. TV and internet is handled by Cox at his home.... 119 Reply Share

Font - SanibelMan 15 hr. ago Man, I hate it when I call a company I'm not doing business with and they can't help me with a service they don't provide to me! So unprofessional. (I'd love to believe I don't need the /s, but just in case) 70 Reply Share

Font - JECfromMC • 14 hr. ago I was a supervisor in a DirecTV call center, and a guy called because his mom was having problems with her teeth. I explained to him, just like the agent did before the guy asked for a supe, that we were a satellite tv company, and not Delta Dental. He still got mad. 43 Reply Share

Font - Melt185 20 hr. ago Back in the olden days of dial up internet, my MIL "couldn't get ahold" of us for a while so she drove 50 miles roundtrip to see what we were doing. Reply Share 74 Altruistic_Rip8132 - 13 hr. ago If my MIL txt or call my husband and he doesn't answer, she will txt or call me. If I don't answer she called the police for a welfare check. She lives 1 mile away.

Font - digitalwyrm 17 hr. ago I was on hold on the non- emergency line when an emergency call came through. She forgot to mute me and I heard her telling some Karen that 911 is for emergencies and not because someone took your parking spot. No it wasn't an emergency. I felt so bad for her, she sounded absolutely exhausted so I suspect it was a regular caller.

Font - DanOfAllTrades80 16 hr. ago I had a neighbor call the police on me for something stupid. They told her that I wasn't doing anything wrong, so the next time she called the fire department. Then the police again, then the fire chief directly, then the county codes inspector, then the building inspector, then the police again. The last time, the police chief came out to talk to her and said that if she called again, she'd be arrested for harassment and charged for wasting emergency resources

Font - AnastasiaNo70 - 17 hr. ago They REALLY need to enforce the laws about calling 911 unnecessarily. Reply Share 78 darkmoncns 14 hr. ago It's a bit of an issue, if people are actively afraid to call 911 because of the consequences if it's deemed "unnecessary" certain events that need that call might not get it Reply Share 21
