16 Wholesome Pics: Meet Snoopy and Aldente, Beautiful Bashful Bats Who Are Obsessed With Cantaloupe
We have a special place in our hearts for bats… all 1,400 different species of 'em! There ain't a bat we don't love. They are curious, misunderstood little critters, so we're here to tell you all about them. Firstly, did you know that bats help spread seeds for nuts, figs, and cacao – the main ingredient in chocolate? See, without bats, there would be less chocolate. They may be small, but they can reach speeds up to 100 miles per hour, so they're quick AND agile.
Unfortunately, a lot of bats species are actually endangered, and that's where this Lubee Bat Conservancy comes in… they are a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving bats and their habitats. Their heartwarming mission captured our hearts, and so did their Instagram page, where they have amassed over 90 thousand followers.
They posted these two cuties, Snoopy and Aldente — Snoopy LOVES cantaloupe like you've never seen, and Aldente is a bit shy and likes to scare people off with her 'bark'.
