Theatre Kid Memes For Attention-Seeking Musical Lovers

If you are or ever were a theatre kid, welcome. You are in a safe space where nobody can call you cringe, even if you are. This probably comes as no surprise, but I was a born and bred theatre kid. I don't think I listened to music that wasn't from musicals until I was 12 years old. It's that serious. Luckily, I was able to stop doing theatre after I turned 18 and avoided pursuing a fruitless career in that field, but not everyone is so lucky. 

I don't miss being a theatre kid because it was so intense. It wasn't intense in terms of competition for roles; It was intense because theatre kids develop the most confounding codependent friendships I have ever witnessed. I will never wish to go back to my days of cuddle piles or trying to hang out with the cool kids at the post-show IHOP dinner or attempting to catch up on drama about a "weird" girl in the ensemble. I am free from being a theatre kid, and now I can live freely as an adult who only watches theatre. If you are still in the midst of doing theatre, these theatrical memes are perfect for you.
