For this week's challenge, to kick Caturday off with some wholesomeness, we asked you guys to tell us about the cutest and funniest encounters that your cat has ever had with another animal!
Cats are notoriously known as solitary creatures. They're independent, they do whatever they want whenever they want to. They can handle themselves and don't need anyone else. If a cat wants a companion - whether it's you the human or someone else - they choose them, which makes the friendships all the more special. Now, we have seen cats befriend dogs before- unlikely as that may seem. We have seen cats befriend cockatoos and other birds, even though they're so different. We've even seen a cat become friends with a horse, despite their size difference. And we knew that our amazing audience will have even more interesting stories to tell us once we challenge them. And you did not disappiont.
"Years ago, my sweet kitten Percy got to know my Lorrie, Tane. Tane was allowed to wander, she had a pretty nasty nip, and the cats were afraid of her. But Percy was new and always curious. This happened one afternoon. They were just having a conversation. Nothing more. Both have been gone for a few years now and I miss them both."
"My parrot escaped his cage, which is outside, he climbed through the cat flap and walked all through the house, to my kitten room, where he made friends with Esmeralda. I arrived home to find this"
"My dogs always get a treat when they finish their dinner. My kitten has recently started to line up with them like "I can haz treat?" I can't give him rawhide sticks but I give him a couple of little cat treats. He just wants to be one of the bros so badly. It's the cutest."
"Our then 3 year old male Axl adopted a girlfriend when we brought Freyja - then a few months old - and her brother into the house. They are now a completely inseparable couple and have been for two years, going on three."
