Life ain't easy, so you gotta hold onto whatever brings you a little bit of joy. It doesn't matter how silly it is, if it's not harming anyone, then you just found yourself a winner! For one person on Tumblr, that small dopamine blast is going onto Petfinder and finding all the bizarre names they've given the cats up for adoption.
Animal shelters get a lot, we mean A LOT, of animals that come through their doors. You go through all the good names in the blink of an eye. So you have to get creative, or less creative. Many of these names seem like they were just the first words to pop into their heads. We imagine it going like this: A new cat gets brought in—"hmmmm, what should we name them?" Looks around the area, sees some cardboard that they've been meaning to break down and recycle. "Oh! I know! Let's name them cardboard, that way I won't forget to take the cardboard out later."
