Spicy Redditor Voices Unpopular Opinion About Animal Lovers: What's Your Take? (19 Images)

Is loving animals a sign that someone is a good person? This Redditor isn't so sure. It's commonly associated that someone who talks in a widdle puppy dog voice to an animal that they find cute to be a soft, kind person. When someone starts spouting baby-talk nonsense, we immediately connect it with someone who is very loving, but apparently this isn't always the case. Even cruel people can do baby talk, they're secret agents trying to fit in with the rest of us good guys.

We're not talking about a person who is mean by accident, or one of those "bad boys" all the girls are talking about, we're talking about genuinely not nice people. What do you think? Do you think someone can be a genuine animal lover and be a bad person in real life?

    Font - Some people love animals, because they are obedient and easy to please, unlike humans. Some people deeply resent the emotional needs of other humans and prefer animals, because animals are easy to please. They give blind obedience to those who feed and love them, which is highly appealing to some people with abusive personalities. The people I'm talking about like that they don't have to listen to an animal's point of view or take their criticisms. With animals, they don't have to be held

    For sure it's not a green flag that covers all other things. We've seen a lot of people who love their pets, but are extremely rude to service workers, like waitresses or bartenders. This, for us, is a red flag also! If you haven't worked in the service industry, you have no idea how hard it is. Our general thought processes is to be nice to everyone, you have no idea what someone is going through in their life!

    This is a very interesting point - Germany at the time of World War II was ahead of its time in terms of punishment for animal cruelty. And yet….well, we all know what happened in World War II and what Hitler did. He definitely doesn't get a green flag from us!

    Font - I am severely allergic to dogs, and when I stay away from them people act like I'm a monster just because I don't love them. It gets really annoying when my coworkers bring their pets to work and get offended because I don't want them near me

    Font - IMO there really are no green flags when dating or meeting someone. There are red flags and yellow flags. But unfortunately, there is always a high degree of risk involved when adding a new person to your life.

    Font - I think the wording is wrong, those people you described don't love animals, they like animals, and that's the case for a lot of self-proclamed animal lovers, but yes it's truth there's a lot of people who likes animals and are horrible to other people, and there's a lot of people who don't like animals and are way better people than the first group.

    Font - And it goes the other way too. Disliking animals isn't a sign someone is a bad person. Lots of people are allergic, or have sensory issues, or just don't like the unpredictability.

    Font - My monster in law loved animals. So much so, she wouldn't let me use baby gates to keep her aggressive dog away from my child (when we lived with her. Wanted to keep dog out of baby room). She loved animals so much that she didn't want to put the dog down, even after it attacked both of her grand babies (one was 2, the other was 6 months old). No, the kids never bothered the dog-- and yes, he was aggressive with everyone, including her. She knew he was aggressive and would admit as much b

    Font - I think a person loving animals is a sign someone is a good person and it is a green flag, precisely because the opposite behavior send the opposite signals. A person who doesn't love animals and who doesn't treat them well is ABSOLUTELY a red flag and a sign that the person is NOT a good person. A "green flag" isn't an automatic pass that someone is a good person, just like a "red flag" isn't an automatic indicator that someone is a bad person. They're just hints one way or the other, no
