We all know that when we adopt a dog, we don't just own a pet. That's not even remotely what's going on. When you bring a beautiful, tail-wagging soul into your home, you expand your family with a fluffy, four-legged child who borks at squirrels, whines for a bit of pastrami when you're making a sandwich, and loves you unconditionally until the end of days.

And that's especially true when not only the doggo in question is in need of a loving home, but when the human is a need of a dog of their own - whether it's a service dog, an emotional support pet, and whatnot. And here? This young woman was about to move in with her boyfriend, but in the very last minute, he told her that her very needed (and loved) service dog won't be moving in with them.

The idea of separating from your dog is unthinkable, especially if you have a condition that requires a service dog. And this boyfriend did the manipulative, controlling, and downright mean move - he waited until his girlfriend had "no choice", and only then tried to separate her from the service dog, her family member. But she took matters into her own hands, and stood up for herself and her dog.
