ZOOMIES! Crazed Dog Loses His Marbles and Does Barkour to Prove It

We've all seen when a dog gets so excited that they completely and entirely forget how to be a dog, running like a rabid  bull with their tooshies tucked, paws flying, and their tongues waggling in the breeze to the side. But have we ever asked ourselves, why do dogs even get zoomies? According to Google, aka the experts on every unanswered question, dogs get Frenetic Random Activity Periods (FRAPs), otherwise known as zoomies, because they're really just stoked. Zoomies are generally caused by a build-up of excess energy, which is then released in one short burst. Don't worry though, it's a completely natural behavior as demonstrated by a white lab owned by Alli Melissare, a California woman with a crazy good boy in her backyard.

Alli's doggo seems to be a puppy still. In her viral video, he looks to be about 8 months old and full of unspent energy. He is also undoubtedly, a menace.

She captured a video of him hurling through the yard at harrowing speeds, narrowly missing lawn furniture, tree stumps and bushes, and even her older calmer dog! The smaller lab has his ears flopping wildly in the wind and his paws skittering franticly on the slate stone outside. By the looks of it, it appears to be raining which could very easily excite a doggo to mentally snap, causing a wild goose chase with no goose to chase.

Most notably, the dog comes careening around a corner, leaping onto the couch for a moment, only to spring back into the fray. He expertly avoids some falling couch cushions and nearly takes a direct hit to the woman's other dog. Fortunately this pupper knows parkour-- *cough* excuse me… Barkour.

The action shot

Using only his swirling tail for balance, the puppy yeets into oblivion, using his landing speed to skitter off into the bushes in the great beyond. We can almost hear the thoughts of the older dog, creaking in his joints, as he stands stoically and unbothered in the midst of chaos. Now THAT'S a good boy we can count on to be a cool cucumber under pressure.

The puppy however, not so much. This simply proves that youthful energy can sometime take over a dogs little pea brain, short circuiting them enough to tuck their lil booties and smash their ears to their head to achieve optimal torpedo shape to gain speed. He's just blowing off a little steam with a zoomie, but he's also blessing our feeds with the cutest dog video of the week.

I think my dog is broken
