Remember your Myspace top 8? Back in the day, it was always a struggle to find (and then rank) your top 8 friends because you just had so many to choose from. As an adult, things are a bit different. If Myspace existed now, it would be more of a struggle to even recall the last time you spoke to 8 different people let alone classifying all eight of those people as "friends".
Adulthood facilitates introversion— you work 8 hours a day, you have errands to run, and then guess what, nobody wants to put on uncomfortable clothes so they can meet their pseudo-friends at a loud bar where they'll have to yell over pop music tracks to make conversation. No no no, after a long day, all any introvert wants to do is slip into a pair of sweats after a warm shower, cozy up on the couch, and binge watch a new Netflix crime docuseries. Let's all just be honest with ourselves.
