What do you do when you have to hire someone for a job with a horrible boss? This is exactly the situation that this Reddit has found themselves in. They have been working for this person for a while now and know the ins and outs. They've dealt with more than their fair share of annoying circumstances with this manager. In fact, this boss has tried to throw them under the bus another time. However, this Redditor is the bigger person. They have been in charge of bringing a new person on to their team. Problem is, they hate their manager… But they don't want to stoop to their horrible boss' leave. So they turn to Reddit for advice. They would love to hire a new employee to work with them and help manager the toxic ways of this manager. But they also don't want to lie to the potential employee about the manager and everything she might put them through.
They don't know how to go through the interview process without mentioning, especially if the interviewee asks about the manager. Are they supposed to lie and say the manager is good and hope that the new employee will figure it out on their own and not blame them? Or should they just approach it head on during the process and tell any potential employee exactly what they are getting themselves into and hop that they still are willing.
