Sometimes an animal rescue will get a dog that is so several in bad shape, they don't know what else to do. With one sweet pittie named Rhya, the vets didn't know what else to do but keep expectations low and give her 3 months max to live. However, one rescuer had other plans that included a much longer life for Rhya.

During Christmas time two years ago, a woman adopted a dog on hospice. The little pittie named Rhya had 20 pounds of liquid inside of her and had severe heart failure. The doctors were sure she could not live more than three months. However, she has lived 2 years since that diagnosis and is happier and healthier than ever. Her human parents took her in and out of the vet for those two years and showered her with all the love they could provide. And it worked! Sometimes modern medicine isn't enough and the only cure is love—Rhya is proof of that.

She struggled and worked so hard to still be around and live her life to the fullest and she sure is doing that.
