Feel Good Story: Frozen Calf Born in -6 Degree Weather Miraculously Comes Back to Life With the Help of Doggy Brother

Farmers who have calving season in the winter always run the risk of finding a recently birthed calf half frozen in the fields. It could be that one of the cows gave birth in the snow while she was out for the day and you didn't realize it. So then you come upon it later and it's cold as ice not moving. Or it was born over night in the barn, where it's fine temperature for a full grown cow, but for a fresh out of the mother calf it's like an ice box.

This happened recently to a couple farmers who posted about it on their social media. But don't start fretting already! We promise, it's a happy ending

The calf was born in -6F degree weather and by the time the farmers found him, he was frozen. They immediately took him inside where they worked hard to bring him back to life. They had him in front of a fire, they rubbed him warm with blankets for hours, and they blasted a hair blowdryer on him in hopes he'll warm back up. The entire time they put in all this work, their cattle dog Vinny did not leave the calf's side. He was waiting on bated breath just as much as his humans were.

Miraculously, the calf slowly came back to life and only came out of the situation with a bit of frost bite on the tip of his nose. Other than that, the little frozen calf is now doing great and having a blast with his doggy brother! They named him Elliot and are making sure he stays warm now by keeping him close and bottle feeding him themselves. And, of course, his doggy big brother is always there to play with him and keep an eye on him. He'll never have to be that cold again with all that love
