Imagine having the audacity to lie on a first date about your job. That's usually one of the first questions you get asked on a date and it sort of lines up the rest of your character to your prospective partner from there. Your job explains your whereabouts and is a huge part of your life, so for a scheming Hinge date, lying about your profession could potentially work in your favor if you play your cards right, especially if your “job” is top secret, you could tailor any excuse to fit that agenda. Jenn Jean, a hopeless romantic who shares her dating debacles on her social media, recently released a tell-all video from her time dating an FBI agent… allegedly.

After months of dating a man she thought was an FBI agent, Jenna put some pieces together of a collection of shady excuses from her man and decided that he might have been lying the entire time they were together. In hindsight the red flags seem pretty obvious, but how can you really know at the time with someone you met online ?

#1: This man told her he was a secret agent the second they met — that doesn't really fit the bill. It earns him some clout and also buys him a whole slew of excuses for the future. However, he didn't tell anybody else that they met that he was in the FBI, which is almost weirder.
#2:The original lie became the perfect alibi for every other shady thing he did.

#3: Because of the “secretive nature” of his fake job, he basically could live a double life without raising eyebrows.

#4: Then he used the FBI story to corroborate his own stalker issues claiming that he was using FBI resources to look at her phone history and he saw that she was texting an ex. However, her roommate thinks he found out this information in the standard SNOOPING fashion and not through any government agency.
#5: He apparently had to move to DC to do some FBI training? Of course, at this point she believed that he was already an FBI agent, so why would he need to train to be an FBI agent? And so he blamed COVID because that's an easy fallback for everything. His story doesn't really check out though. The Bureau would never…

#6: Then Jenna got an incriminating phone call. This is entering Shadyville at this point and it's pretty obvious. Even though they were broken up, this call confirmed her suspicions.

#7: The fake interrogation phone call really was the final nail in the coffin. Not only were they already broken up, but this was some top level suss behavior.

After this weird phone call, Jenna decided she was over it and didn't want to waste any more time on this fake FBI guy. After months he attempted to contact her again and she simply screened it. Now, after recalling the entire scenario, Jenna has certainly done more investigative work than this Hinge date has in his whole life. Burner phones and all.
