Boyfriend Pulls Malicious Distasteful Prank and Girlfriend Leaves Him Because of It: He Says She's "Overreacting", Internet Says He's the Worst
We're all guilty of missing red flags when it comes to dating. When you're in the moment just following your heart, it's not always easy to pull those rose colored glasses off and see the very obvious red flags flying high. So don't beat yourself up about it.
But that moment when you finally see that big red flag is both the most epic and heartbreaking epiphany you'll ever experience. This is exactly what happened to one women after her boyfriend pulled an absolutely malicious prank on her (If you can even call the horrible thing he did a prank!). Before the two started dating, the girlfriend made sure to let him know about her mental struggles. She has experienced a lot of depression and has PTSD because of it. Apparently the boyfriend didn't quite understand the seriousness of mental health and just shrugged it off.
Then, after almost a year of dating, he started watching prank videos online and found them hilarious. So he started pulling his own pranks on the girlfriend. At first they were silly little things like salt in her water, etc. and she didn't mind those. They were annoying, but not harmful. Then he started doing jump scare pranks, and for someone with PTSD that is a huge no no. So she sat him down and had a serious talk telling him he cannot do that to her. He stopped for a little bit. But then one day she comes home and she found him in the tub covered in bl00d. She obviously started having a panic attacked and ran to get her phone to call for help. But then she heard laughing and her boyfriend caught up to her and he was just laughing at her.
She was so upset she didn't even say a word and left. She went to her friend's house and never looked back. He keeps reaching out saying she's "overreacting" and to come back home. She took to Reddit to reassure herself that she wasn't overreacting, right? And you better believe the Internet made sure she knew she was 1000% in the right and this boyfriend (now ex) is the absolute worse.
