Funny And Derpy Cats Who Hate Cones But Totally Love Wearing Plates, Shirts Or Pillows Around Their Necks

Every cat owner finds out, at one point or another, that cats… hate wearing things. We all see those adorable photos of cats in costumes on the internet! So, we all have to at least try to get that kind of picture of our cats too. Still, even though our cats kinda hate it, every once in a while, we still put little hats on our cats or we put adorable bow ties around our cats' necks. It's then followed by a race to get an adorable non-blurry picture in the thirty seconds before our cats knock these things off, but it's worth it. The pics are worth the madness. It's the price that cats pay for being jerks to us.

But is it really all cats who hate getting dressed up? Nope. Who could ever forget the adorable senior cat who cries when his sweater is taken off? Not us. And today, we found out that some cats - even though they will not tolerate wearing a cone for even one moment - not not mind at all wearing plates, shirts or even pillows around their necks. Sigh, cats are such weirdos. We love them.

    Cat - Charlie got his b Ils snipped today and he hated the cone but is VERY okay with this plate instead. Here he is, purring.

    Purring. Actually purring. And yes, we know that purring is not always, always a good thing, but come on! Look at this content little kitty, wearing this ridiculous plate around its neck. How is that in any way better than a cone we have no idea, but we are thankful to have seen this meme, because we legit couldn't stop thinking about it for hours.

Then I read in the post-op instructions that a t-shirt would work, but 2 Walmarts and a Target only carried onesies and no baby t-shirts. We had a little guy who had only one descended testicle, so when he was neutered, he had to have an inguinal approach to "capture" the undescended nugget. We had him wearing the cutest onesies while recovering (he was an extreme runt of the litter so at 9 months he was still a real small kitty). He was SOOOO adorable. And he loved his little "shirt".
