I reply, "Didn't you see he is an employee of a different hotel?" Manager "Yes, but so what?" The minute I got back to the desk both my front desk co-workers all came up to me and gave me a huge hug and thanked me so many times. In the best fake smile, I can muster. Aftermath: Next day I check his rewards account and it is now suspended. Check back next week "Sorry account number not found."

    Font - Undersea Serenity It's amazing that someone working in hospitality, let alone another hotel, could treat staff with such disdain. Usually, the cp you deal with in any service industry leads to treating others in the same field with more compassion (or at least understanding).

    Font - eva_white As someone who worked in hotels for years, I admire your gusto to take action and jealous your manager supported you in doing this. I've dealt with so many entitled assholes like this. Most managers and rewards programs will just do whatever to appease them and continue the cycle. This was satisfying to read.

I occasionally travel for work (not hotel employee) and have in the past traveled often as an employee's family member (dad was a pilot, we often stayed in hotels that were affiliated with the airline). You need to be well mannered, quiet and respectful. Dad would have a refresher reminder before we went on trips.
