Entitled Vegan Bridesmaid Ruins Her Friend's Wedding, Humiliating the Extremely Accommodating Bride During Her Speech

Everybody knows that vegans are obsessed with being vegan. Not only that, but vegans everywhere always feel the need to tell everybody that their vegan as if it entitled them to some sort of social gold star or pat on the back. Actually though, braggy and entitled vegans really are just the worst kinds of people, forcing everyone around them to bow down to their dietary beliefs. One entitled bridesmaid publicly humiliated her best friend at her wedding because she felt like she wasn't being worshipped enough for her veganism.

This vegan girl asked Reddit if she was really being an asshole to her friend, recalling the event from her perspective and proving, once again, how clueless vegans can be. When she was invited into the wedding party months before the big day, the vegan girl requested a dietary replacement option for her meal, which is totally understandable and acceptable. The bride was incredibly accommodating and happy to make the request with her caterer to provide a special meal for her friend. 

Things took a turn for the worst when one of the other guests was no longer able to come to the wedding; this guest was the wedding's second vegan meal. Per the caterer's stipulations, they couldn't make just one vegan entree, so the bride, knowing that her bridesmaid was vegan, found a solution. Being a good friend, the bride offered a $50 Uber Eats gift card to her vegan bridesmaid so that she could have the meal of her choice delivered to the venue so that she still had something to eat. 

The vegan girl waited until the last minute to order food at the wedding and when her food delivery was late, she complained about her hunger and nibbled at the appetizer table with dismay. Instead of acting like an adult and just being patient, the vegan bridesmaid complained openly about how the venue despised vegans. In her speech, she raked the caterer over the coals about how starving she was, blaming the situation on her friend and making a “joke” about how hard it is to be vegan. Naturally, the bride, who spent months and possibly years planning this big day, felt like that joke took a stab at her, publicly humiliating her in front of her friends and family. 

So despite the bride literally bending over backwards for her friend, the vegan bridesmaid felt as if she was slighted in some way. Since the wedding, the bride hasn't talked to her vegan bridesmaid and is upset that she ruined her wedding with her negative speech. Now, posting on Reddit for advice, this vegan is wondering if she's the asshole. Naturally a vegan would have no idea when their stepping over the line, so we can proudly say that she is definitely the asshole in this situation and was too blind to notice her friend's ample attempts to make her comfortable at her event.
