We always say that you should become a parent if and only when you're emotionally, financially, and physically stable. Emphasis on emotional intelligence, of course. We don't know about you guys, but we've noticed that it's a common trend among parents to expect their children to take on the weight of the world onto their teeny tiny shoulders with no questions asked. They expect them to be perfect, obedient, and to never make a single mistake.
Don't get us wrong, you should definitely teach your children responsibility by giving them age-appropriate chores to keep them accountable and honest. But one thing we shouldn't do is put the weight of a child's emotional health on the shoulder of another child. That's just cruel.
