They say that the quokka, an Australian-native marsupial, is the happiest animal on Earth. They're fuzzy, round, and friendlier than any street cat, so what's not to love? Because they have no natural predators in the wild, they have very little fear of large creatures, including hoomans, so they're incredibly aggreeable, fluffy, and downright adorable. They have snarky little smiles and big ol' bucky teefs that make you risk getting a little quokka-nip in exchange for the cuddliest hug in the southern hemisphere. Quokkas are like real-life living teddy bears.
One photographer, an Australian woman named Suzy, has dedicated her life to photographing quokkas in the wild. She is determined to share their unique personalities in all her photos and tries to share their infectious joy with her followers and we think she's done a darn-tootin' good job of doing that. Honestly, how could you look at a photo collection of these happy derps and not have a little bit of that positivity rub off on you? So please enjoy this collection of the world's happiest fluffernubbins that'll certainly help get you through the week.
