'This is beyond heartbreaking': Florida Dog Shelter Makes Desperate Plea for Friendly Pup Who Has Had Zero Interest for Adoption in Over 100 Days

Fiona the pup is great with kids and was so happy to be rescued she broke her tail from wagging so hard! Now she seems to be losing hope.

It's not easy working at a dog rescue. See just how many dogs come into a shelter with no home is heartbreaking enough. But then on top of that to learn about their tragic pasts just makes you want to cry. All of these precious pups deserve loving homes.

Recently, a shelter in Florida took to their social media to help one of their favorite pups and longest residents. Her name is Fiona and she is a 5-year-old gentle giant looking for a furever family. When she came into the shelter she was so happy to be rescued, that she broke her tail from wagging it so hard and had to get it removed. Now, still wagging her nub, she is fantastic with children and ready to be adopted. However, it has been over 100 days and nobody has shown interest in her. Her once excited and happy persona has been starting to get over shadowed with a dark cloud of hopelessness.

“THIS IS BEYOND HEARTBREAKING! It pains us to think of what Fiona has been through. Fiona was literally the happiest dog when she first arrived at the shelter. She was SO happy that she broke her tail in the kennel from wagging it so hard. As a result she had to have her tail removed. And now she is so down in the dumps from being here so long and having to wear her cone in her kennel. This sweet girl has been waiting for months to find her forever home and her excitement and joy has turned to sadness. Won't you giver her a chance?”

The shelter posted a video in hopes that someone will see it and want to adopt her. The video is simply heartbreaking, showing a note that describes Fiona's sad story and then showing her laying in her kennel with the saddest puppy dog eyes. It's as if she looks at the camera asking why, why nobody wants to give her love even though she has so much love she wants to give.
