AITA: ‘I never meant for this to happen': Man Finds Out His Girlfriend Used to be a Lingerie Model, Tells His Friends and “Accidently” Ruins Her Dream Career
Nothing says trust quite like sharing your past with your loved one, knowing they'll never use it against you but rather learn from it about you. Yes, sharing your history, good and bad, is a way to truly test and strengthen a relationship. But what happens when something you did years before meeting your partner deeply bothers them?
Such is the case in today's AITA thread. OP stumbled upon rather risque photos of his girlfriend modeling lingerie. She didn't see the big deal and was adamant she'd told him about it. It's just something she used to do for money ways back when. Nowadays, she's a teacher. She loves it. She gave up a lucrative modeling career so as not to jeopardize her dream of shaping future generations.
OP couldn't shake off the shock or let go of how much this information bothered him, so he shared it with his friends (yes, that's plural), including one who is notorious for their love of gossiping. It didn't take long for the information to reach the school Board and for his girlfriend to get fired for "unprofessional behavior" due to the nature of the photos.
It wasn't enough that OP took zero responsibility for the consequences of his actions by calling the whole affair "accidental" and trying to act dumb, he then went and posted the update…
