Font - I planted some mint. (Several people in AITA suggested I post this here among like- minded fellows, so ... here we go.) Last year one of my(40F) partner's(47M) relatives first got very sick and then died. While he was in hospital for several months, we regularly dropped by to look after his house, fix the garden, make sure nothing was amiss and such. Now, one of the neighbors is a real consolation prize. As she does not like to garden, she had the garden (front and back) of the property s

Font - Said neighbor started pestering my partner and me about things she wanted changed in the relative's garden. Bushes cut off, plants removed, that stuff. She also claimed that the way we were gardening was attracting harmful "bugs" (which, when I showed them to a friendly biologist, were confirmed to be wood sorrel seeds). Anyway, I talked everything through with her to confirm what needed doing and removed any plants that were threatening to intrude into her garden (ivy, blackberry etc.).

Font - The next time I dropped by, "someone" had hacked the branch in question off, at the widest area near the base, splintering and at a weird angle. To be clear, legally she was allowed to cut anything growing over her property back, and the branch was appeoximately 10 cm across the border. I'm just really annoyed she said it was fine to wait and then hacked at the plant the moment we were not looking. But as my partner's family was worried about the relative, I decided to let it slip and kep

Font - My father thinks this is hilarious, obviously I got my petty qualities from him. My partner, on the other hand, thinks I may have been unnecessarily mean. The family plans to sell the property, so by the time this problem becomes obvious we will be long gone. I have also ordered a bee-friendly mix to freshen up the grass in the back yard, as she complained the grass was too high-growing and we had to rake out most of it. Can't sell a house with a bare- dirt backyard, right?

Font - Newbosterone 22 hr. ago Mint takes over quickly. Even worse is catnip, a member of the mint family. All the free range felines in the neighborhood stop by to roll around in it. Then they wind up fighting or Reply Share 240

Font - LIRFM 22 hr. ago Plant a fig tree. She can befriend the wasps. You only need one tree because they're self-pollinating. Added home value! Saxifraga can be planted as shrubbery, and the name means "stone breaker". Planted near her gravel garden, it can turn into a grassy area again eventually. It also produces beautiful flowers. Font - Critical Worker9833 1 day ago . Perfect revenge. My husband planted mint in one of our herb gardens over 40 years ago. It took over the whole spot and kept spreading. We moved from there a couple of years later and he never allowed mint to be planted in any of our gardens again. If I wanted some it had to be in a raised container pot 20 feet away from his gardens. 189 Reply Share

Font - EkbyBjarnum 20 hr. ago Mint really is the most beautiful, prettiest revenge. I planted some baby mint plants 5 years ago cause they were labeled as basil and I was assured they were basil. I have not planted anything but tomatoes and beans since, but the garden is absolutely overrun with more mint than I could conceivably have any use for, every year.
