Font - vhm3 OP +1 23 hr. ago edited 18 hr. ago · Kingsley is 8 years old. Had him and his bonded pair since they were 10 weeks old. He's always been an affectionate but slightly aloof kitty. Over the past couple of months, he's gone from cuddling here and there to constantly needing to be with me. He's a little velcro kitty and follows me from room to room and sleeps under the blanket as little spoon every night. Obviously I adore this behavior, but I've read that these types of behavioral chang

Font - I'm not sure whether I should be basking in this or concerned. Maybe I'm the sick one and he's caught on, or maybe something in my behavior has changed. I apologize if this is silly, I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything of note. Thank you xx ETA: Definitely not pregnant. 3.7k Reply Share

Font - NightmareRise 21 hr. ago · edited 21 hr. ago When I went away to college and took my cat with, I had a similar situation with him. He's become incredibly obsessive to where he follows me everywhere, gets in the way of everything I do, and even wakes me from a d₁ 1 sleep because he wants my attention. I can't close a door around him or he whines all night. He wanted to be with me so badly one time that he actually taught himself to turn my doorknob. Every waking moment of every single day

Font - Glass Straw Disaster 23 hr. ago You're not pregnant, right? My aunt had a pair of torties when I was a kid that were usually very aloof, then out of nowhere they became Velcro cats. Turns out they knew about my little cousin before she did. If he is otherwise healthy I wouldn't worry too much but keep a close eye on him and look out for signs that he is uncomfortable. Reply Share 468 +1 - 23 hr. ago Definitely not pregnant, but he has me wondering if it's something wrong with me haha. vhm

Font - daisymaisy505 +1 - 21 hr. ago I'm actually thinking you need a check up, not the cat. They can sense things we can't and can smell things we can't (like certain c ers). Totally not trying to wig you out, but get your b' d tested and get a checkup/physical. Reply Share ... 51 vhm3 OP 1+1 · 21 hr. ago It's been a while so that's long overdue, thank you! Reply Share 42

Organism - the-evil-moo 20 hr. ago I was about to suggest a pregnancy test my cat got super clingy when I was pregnant 14 Reply Share Business_Chipmunk_10 +1. 19 hr. ago That is exactly what I was going to ask. My tortie would bring things into my room when I was pregnant. Toys, a bag of jerky, the cat food bag. 13 Reply Share

Organism - drudriver +2. 22 hr. ago Well. Hell yes, it's a cause for concern. How are you going to move around and do things like, go to the bathroom, go to work, etc? You MAY NOT disturb the cat! 254 Reply Share

Cat - vhm3 OP +1 - 22 hr. ago Hahaha never! He's never been a lap cat, but his brother always was. Now they try to share the lap so I've resigned to forever being a cat hostage. 279 Reply Share

Font - Sir_Meowsalot +2. 19 hr. ago Cats can react to their Humans vibes as well. Considering that this gentleman is still eating, sleeping, pooping, and weeing and generally being an active Kitty I don't think you should worry too much. However, you should definitely pick up that Kitty and look them straight in the eyes and ask them,"What is your major meowalfunction?!" If Kitty just looks at you and is chill and purring...then you got yourself a certified LoveBug 2000. Reply Share 48

Font - Asherlon300 · 22 hr. ago Tell him about it. He will listen. I had to do this with my female cat. She always wants food anytime she's out of food and that's not how it works. She's always on the porch and not out exploring as much. I simply told her that's enough food and to go play. And no sleeping in the garage unless it's snowy or cold.. she was upset the first two nights but got over it 57 Reply Share vhm3 OP 1+1 21 hr. ago I don't know if he's ready for "the talk". 68 Reply Share

Font - capilot +2.20 hr. ago Age 8 is a time when cats personalities change for the better, according to my vet. They often become more affectionate and more strongly bonded to you. (Not all cats, of course, cats are very much individuals, but it's common.) Reply Share 8
