Font - I regret to inform you that your offer of employment from has been revoked. The entire team and myself were extremely excited to extend the offer to you at the beginning of this week. That said, the requests for a change in title, written approvals for extended time off, and overall demeanor on the calls to discuss the offer with myself, HR Manager have left a poor taste in the team's mouth and they do not feel comfortable having you on their team at this time. & the Negotiation during an

Font - Alternative-Plum9378 13h ● Fun fact.I recently gained an interview for a STORE MANAGER position with a certain company I won't mention. I'll just say they specialize in office supplies such as paperclips and Staples. I got to the 4th interview... yes... 4th. The whole time up to this point, it was understood that I was applying for a store manager position with a certain salary.

Font - At the 4th interview, I was bait and switched with, "So you'll be Assistant manager with [half agreed upon salary]..." I withdrew. What they were offering was still fair. I would have taken it... IF THAT'S WHAT I APPLIED FOR! Red Flags from hell.

Font - EDIT ADD: I am a hiring manager in my current position. I am ALWAYS upfront out of the gate with my candidates because I would rather have someone who agrees to the terms up front than betray them and have employees who suddenly don't want to be there because I was a lying POS. Reply 512

Font - ColoradoMushroom · 3h They are notorious for this. I was asked to interview for a "management position" and when I got there they told me it was a supervisor position at $15/hr. I went slack jaw for about a minute and then asked the interviewer if he would accept a manager position for $2 above minimum wage (at the time) he tried to argue with me about how it was way more than $2. I replied it was forty four cents rounded to the nearest dollar and next year it will be less than $2 (minimu

Font - Beneficial-Wolf1576 15h A normal recruiter would just say things changed and then ghost you. This unhinged rant makes me instantly believe your side. Please don't respond. This type of person thrives on drama and is basically daring you to argue with them so they can mess with you and gossip about you. Reply 1.8k

Font - Choice-NoAd-5580 OP. 15h Details: Long story short, the title of the role was different in the job offer vs what was advertised to me when I applied for the position. The external recruiter admitted he lied and changed the name of the role to make it seem "more appealing" but stated that it didn't matter since "you just put whatever you want on LinkedIn, no one cares"

Font - ● When I got the job offer, it was a single page and didn't include any details like what sort of benefits I would get I was told the job offer would "expire" if I didn't sign it less than 24 hours after receiving it, the external recruiter said "I needed to be okay waking up tomorrow morning knowing I slept on this job offer" I asked for the 2 weeks off that I have had planned for over a year to attend a close friend's wedding abroad
  • 16
Font - Edit: The benefits I asked to get a copy of are standard things like health care plans, retirement plans, etc. Edit: My 2 week trip is in June, the external recruiter then asked for all my pre-planned vacation for the rest of the year, which includes some time off during the holidays. I have family overseas so I plan in advance.

Font - Edit: There are too many comments for me to get to, but a lot of posts are questioning the "demeanor" part of the email. I didn't act rude at any stage of this process. All I did was ask for more details about the benefits, the time off, and the title change.

Font - I did, however, put my foot down with the external recruiter, who continuously called and texted me at all hours of the day, even after I asked for everything to be via email. I also called out the external recruiter for pressuring me to signing the offer before I had all the information I needed to sign it. Reply 1.1k
