Chances are, most of us who have full time jobs also have lives that completely revolve around them. Never mind all the other things that are essential to human functioning, like family, friends, life admin, and leisure time. Nope, when we sign our contract we make a pact to sell our soul to the big boss, and suffer the consequences until we retire (if we're lucky enough).
This isn't to say that work is all bad, but the ways in which we do it are often neither fulfilling nor healthy. Plus, if we're brutally honest with ourselves, many of us do jobs that don't even need to exist. This is a demoralizing state of affairs to say the least, so we have to find ways to manage them. One of the main ones is through humor, as the sheer quantity of work memes out there proves. Have a great Monday, everyone.
Spare me.
For real.
Curious.
Every damn day.
Basically.
Leave me in peace.
Employee level: Expert.
Here we go again!
Don't do this to me.
Have I been guilty of this? No comment.
Damn my amazing employability.
It's always been this way.
It's a miracle.
Oopsie!
