The best part about being a child is playing imaginary games with your friends, parents, or siblings. One day you're a riotous pirate, the next day you're a princess in a tower, and the day after that, you can be a mermaid on a beach. With your imagination, you can go anywhere and be anything.

This illusion is a fragile and elusive thing though! All it takes is one Debbie-downer or grouchy-pants person to shatter your imaginary world and ruin the game. For one little girl who played princess games with her mother, she had her world brought down by her own humdrum, lame-o father. The mother was happily going along with her play-pretend sessions with her young daughter, getting into character and dressing up in princessy clothes, but the dad was bothered by their "childish" games.
