Sometimes, you have to make your work problems an inconvenience for your boss in order to be taken seriously. Your coworkers tend to not care or go out of their way to help you out if said problems don't affect them directly. One would think a problem that directs one person technically affects collective productivity, and therefore, we should all help each other out when these individual challenges arise. However, that perspective is simply too optimistic for toxic work environments, isn't it?
This thread was posted to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/lexa_pro_ho, a nurse whose computer was somehow always the defective one. Her Karen boss started to complain that she was taking too long to get started working because she had to call IT to fix her computer every single day. I mean, there's a clear solution here that Karen just wasn't willing to see. Thankfully, the problem is seemingly resolved, and even better, Karen no longer works there!
