Adorable Black Kitty Makes an Unlikely BFF, Befriending and Cuddling a Tawny, Chonky Rat

If you've existed on this planet for longer than 2 minutes, there are certain rivalries in the world that are rarely disputed. In nature, lions despise the hyenas, turtles envy the birds, everyone fears the sharks, and cats will always chase after a rat. Well, for one lucky rodent, that is not the case. This tawny rat has found the one cat on this Earth that knows no rivalry– the one cat who doesn't despise him. In fact, this particular cat is actually the rat's best friend.

Some people are afraid to risk the consequences of setting two rival animals free in the same space, but for one rat breeder, she had no choice but to roll the dice with the amicability of her black kitty. Because she is the owner of a rat breeder called Mystic Mischief Rattery, she has a house full of beady eyes, chubby tummies, and wiggling whiskers that needed attention and exercise. 

Just look at these cute little beans! How could you not let them out of their cage every once in a while? 

Well, at Mystic Mischief, the rats roam freely around the house at least once a day. But what are they to do about the cat that also lives there? Lord knows you can never truly lock away a cat, so they tried a few tests with the kitten first, seeing how she would react to the little rattos. Surprisingly enough, the cat seemed to have little interest in hurting the tiny rodents and actually seemed more interested in friendship. Talk about breaking the rivalry cycle. 

Most famously, the cat has grown to love one rat in particular, one of the stud males who is a permanent resident of MMR. These two, whenever they get the chance, are nearly inseparable. They share cuddles on the couch and warm each other's tummies, happily crushing the stereotype of hatred between their species. I mean, how could you not want to cuddle on the couch with any of these little guys? 

The rattery has had amazing successes with their breeding but they have also shared the heartwarming tale of two pets coming together in harmony. This cat and rat duo will go down in history as the cutest, most unlikely pair of weirdos.
