'There's something digging into our apartment': Terrified college girls find their neighbor's hamster chewing through their wall after hearing strange noise

When you're home alone, it seems like every creak and every sound you hear from another room is something scary and evil that's breaking in to attack you. Well, when you're in college, living on your own for the first time, there's nothing more terrifying than seeing a dark hole in the ceiling grow bigger and bigger from the efforts of a creature from the outside attempting to burrow into your home. That's exactly what happened to a college girl in Springfield, Illinois one cold winter night.

She first discovered that something was off one evening while chilling in her apartment while her roommate was out. Home alone and letting her imagination wander, she was absolutely terrified when she heard a crumbling, chewing sound coming from the corner of her drywall and into her bedroom from the other side.

She texted her roommate in fear, letting her in on the situation in case things went wrong. Kenna's backup was far from returning to the house but it was reassuring to not feel alone while some dark wall creature burrows its way into your home.

After a few moments, and as the hole grew, Kenna investigated the sound and stoked up enough courage to peer into the pit of darkness. Behind the drywall and chewing its way into her room was a tiny unidentifiable rodent.

Shortly after the hole was big enough to see the culprit, Kenna noticed that it wasn't a sewer rat like she imagined, it was her neighbor's hamster, Linda! It seems as though Linda escaped from her cage on the other side and, in a desperate attempt to reach the outside world, chewed her way directly into a second prison.

Unfortunately for Linda the escape artist hamster, Kenna successfully lured her into a box using tortilla chips. Linda was returned to her owner unscathed, leaving behind a terrifyingly hilarious collegiate memory. As Linda dreams of freedom and the smell of fresh grass, she can only recall the time that she nearly, almost made it to the outside world.

Hilariously, the comment section of the video perfectly describes Linda's thought process when escaping her cage from the neighbors house. We can only extrapolate her sentiments, but prison break feels about right for this dare -devil of a hamster.

Entertaining night, the time my neighbors hamster chewed through our wall into my apartment
