What a time to be alive, are we right? We get to work from home and then when we get fired at home, we have to send back the things the job had sent us to use for work. Is it worse to get fired while working from home since it's not in person? That's an entirely different discussion. In the mean time, we have people finding creative ways to stick-it to their toxic bosses even though they don't see them face-to-face.
For example, one guy told Reddit that when he was laid off from his WFH job they simply sent him an address and their delivery account so he can return his equipment. He went to the FedEx and he told them how he was laid off. So the delivery employees understood and made sure to make it as expensive as a delivery as they could. They pulled tons and tons of bubble wrap, used the fanciest tissue paper, etc. In the long run, it was only $68 and they probably actually appreciated the extra safety for their items being returned. But man in that moment, this now ex-employee was on cloud 9-of malicious compliance revenge.
