If you don't know what the reality show Love Island is then to put it simply: a bunch of TV producers put a bunch of young single people who live for the drama on an island. The end. Of course chaos ensues, it's most likely encouraged on their contracts. It's one of the more bonkers reality TV shows, and reality TV is already wild in nature. So to be a contestant on something like Love Island… Well, you probably have a wild side to say the least.
That is why it was SO hilarious recently when a girl in Australia tricked her boss and all of her managers that she was seriously chosen as a contestant for Love Island and was leaving in two weeks to go film. She recorded their reactions and in our opinion, it's better (or at least more "real" than reality TV) than Love Island. The girl seriously calls them all in for a meeting. While the are in the conference room she slowly and calmly shares the news that she needs six weeks off because she will be leaving to film Love Island. Also, she was leaving in two weeks, so it didn't give them that much time.
Her boss and managers' reactions are wholesome, shocked, and hilarious. Most of them seem very supportive and are congratulating her, but a few seem confused and maybe even a little disappointed. Not disappointed that she had to leave work for six weeks, but disappointed that she was going to be on such a raunchy hyperbolic reality TV show. When she finally revealed it was a joke, the sigh of relief coming from all her managers is audible.
She is cracking up so hard at the end, she literally has to stand up. Standing ovation her for that epic prank—check it out below!
