He was trained in Connecticut as a Red Cross Ambulance driver. While he was training, he met another boy who had also fabricated his birthday in order to join up. That boy was Ray Kroc, the man who would spearhead the McDonald's corporation into international success. Who could've known that two of the most influential American moguls of the 20th century were in the same place at the same time during World War 1? If you asked those young men, "What do you think of the Disney-McDonalds merchandising tie-in that lasted from 1996 to 2007?" they would have no idea what you were talking about, and I think that's beautiful.
