We all have our own petty causes that get us riled up. I think self-care routine videos are incredibly annoying and should be banned. Recently, Redditor u/hegotthedream asked the fine folks of r/AskReddit to share the "smallest hill" that they're willing to die on. The responses were quite interesting and revealed that everyone is passionate about some kind of small or stupid issue.
Judging by the responses, one of the most common hills that people were willing to die on had to do with grammar and spelling mistakes. People expressed their frustration with common errors such as confusing "there," "they're" and "their." It seems that for many, proper grammar and spelling are essential to effective communication and they A) are not willing to compromise on this, and B) look down on the people who are willfully or sadly ignorant.
Another common theme among the responses was driving etiquette or lack thereof. While we only included strong opinions about using turn signals in this particular collection, there are plenty of responses that have to with automobile lights. It's true that most of these issues are things we should be able to brush off, but it's important to stick up (and live up to) one's principles. And it's nice to know we're not alone in our pettiness.
