We recently stumbled upon a Reddit post that quite literally made our blood boil. So ultimately, we had to share it with you guys. The highlight is on an entitled OP who turned to Reddit to ask whether he'd be an a$$hole for asking his wife to lose 60 pounds before allowing her to accompany him on his upcoming teaching job in Japan.
Why, you may ask? He claims that Japan's culture is different with contrasting norms and values. And that, unfortunately, also applies to the way they view overweight people. This hubby right here says that he's just looking out for his wife and isn't looking to stand out from the crowd.
Who's gonna tell him that no matter how much weight they lose, tourists and foreigners will always stand out in a crowd of Japanese people?
