Bernie Sanders Accidentally Becomes a Meme (Again) After Waltzing Through Someone's Cringey TikTok Video

Bernie Sanders has once again, memeified himself in the public eye by being the most relatable old grouchy East Coaster known to man. This time, Bernie has done so by accidentally walking through a TikTok dance video that was occurring on a public NYC street. As it turns out, Bernie thinks it's as cringey and awkward as we do.

Bernie Sanders remains unbothered and frankly, a little annoyed. TikTok dance videos always a little cringe and that's made even more clear when Bernie, who has always been the political activist for young people, looks visibly peeved and confused. As we all are.

His deadpan expression is really how we're all feeling if we stumble upon people publicly dancing for their phones in the distance– it's just awkward. 

Similarly, Bernie was the voice of the people years ago, when he became a meme the first time. When he dressed like a sensible man from Vermont, wearing big fuzzy mittens and bundling up for Joe Biden's wintery 2021 inauguration speech, he was forever memeified as the grouchy old uncle of America. He appeared to be incredibly cold, super bored, and quite frankly a little pissed off– so relatable.

This time he's bringing back that same energy with this look– no doubt, channeling his inner Larry David.  

The influencer who shot the video had very little to say about Bernie, but she seemed stoked to have seen a celebrity out in the wild, which is pretty much the antithesis of Bernie's reaction to her. If only I could be as non-partisan as the dancing doorman in this video, but unfortunately I have to side with Bernie on this one. Get out of our streets with your dances and your weird choreography, nobody wants that content anymore.
