Lawns are often a great attraction and target for entitled neighbors. It's almost like they have a magnetic pull, resulting in an obsessive fixation—one single blade of grass overgrown or out of place sending the neighbor over the edge. But let's be real, living close to people can be maddening—being that they're a constant presence in your everyday life that you had no choice or control over. We can choose our partner, our friends—even whether or not we want to see certain family members—but neighbors?.. They're not ever of our choosing, and they're always there—lurking, waiting, judging, and making unnecessary noises at incredibly inconvenient times of the day.
Now, Australians are generally a raucous, fun-loving bunch who aren't afraid to say it how it is and aren't shy about calling you some bizarre creative insult, straight to your face, with a smile and a laugh. Passive aggression just doesn't seem to be something you'd expect them to be a party to… But the escalating madness of neighborly disputes can drive even them to such unordinary ends.
This Aussie, Redditor u/Verna_Mueller145, shared her story to the r/entitledpeople subreddit community, telling of how her neighbor mowed her lawn without asking and then billed her for it.
