Bad Dog Cocker Spaniel Thinks His Owner's Not Home, Getting Caught Redhanded Being a Mischievous Thief

We never truly know what our dogs are up to when we're not home. You can buy a Furbo and try to monitor them on a tiny, grainy screen, but even when you're tossing treats out of a little robot connected to an app, you only really see your dog when he's in range of the machine. What about your blind spots? One woman caught her dog in 4k when he thought she was out of the house. It turns out, even when you have faith in your pet, they'll exercise their freedoms when you're not around.

Chilling on the couch in her UK home, this woman spotted her dearest Teddy, a one year old cocker spaniel, being a bad dog. Naturally, he thought he was being unmonitored, so his mischief would go unpunished, but he gets caught red handed stealing a slider and playing with the forbidden toy.

Teddy came charging into the room, blinded by the slipper wrapped around his face and snoot. He happy waves the slipper around, not realizing that his owner is right there watching him be naughty. His unhindered joy is cut short when he catches sight of his owner judging him and preparing to scold him for his shoe theft.

He stops in his tracks and comes to a complete stand still. First, Teddy processes his fault in the situation. Knowing he was in the wrong (and is currently STILL in possession of the stolen shoe), he glances with a big ol' baby side-eye at his owner, hoping she won't see him. If he doesn't move, he's invisible.

Then once he realizes he's been spotted, he realizes his fault and looks her dead in the eye, begging for mercy. WIthout dropping the slipper, his eyes drop to the floor in shame. He knows what he did.

Teddy is proof that our dogs have secret lives when we're not around. They may not be destroying our belongings, but they're probably messing with our things when we're not around. So the next time you're missing a shoe or lost a sock, take a good hard look at your angelic canine in the corner, they might have had something to do with it. Good criminals know how to hide their crimes.

Up to no good as usual
