Ring security systems are pretty normal to have these days. They not only provide you with security footage, but it also provides you with live access and the ability to talk back and forth through the system. Plus, it is all accessible through a handy dandy app, but this isn't a Ring security system add no matter how much it feels like one.
Amanda Nash, a nurse who lives in the suburbs, was at work one day minding her own business. She gets an alert on her Ring app that someone was at her day and she was surprised to see it was a police officer. She responded asking him if there was anything she could help him with and he had an odd request.
The officer said him and his partners were chasing a subject around her house and they lost him In her backyard. He was wondering if anybody was home, she said no, it was just her and her husband and they were both at work. So then he asked if she could check her most recent security footage in her backyard.

She agrees and goes to look when she spots a man getting into her trashcan. She tells the officers and they run after him and find him right where she says. The entire time she is still at work and her coworkers are heard in the background asking what was going on. She said she's just solving a crime while also doing her nursing duties. Nash felt like a superhero the entire time, but could not stop laughing.
She hasn't shared what the perp did to be running from the law like that, but it was enough for him to hide in a random trashcan… And he would've gotten away with it too if it wasn't for this lady and her meddling security camera!
