Sometimes the amount of audacity upper management has is unbelievably astronomical. Like, how is that even possible? Welcome to the world of *~capitalism~*. It's not like the old days anymore, however, where people took the abuse of their managers and bosses because they needed to put food on the table for their family of 10. No. Now we are choosing uncertainty and peace over abuse and security.
For instance, one woman on Reddit recently posted asking if she should put any extra effort into her last two weeks at a job she absolutely hated. The management had been so neglectful of her that when she begged for them to arrange a face-to-face meeting they ignored her, so she was forced to quit via email. She has been nothing but an exemplary employee, but it would appear they did not think she deserved enough respect to provide an exit meeting for her. Though she did the best she could to train her replacement, she has had it. Now, her upper bosses fill her email inbox with demands of this and that. The thing is, this is her last two weeks and she is over it. So she has zero efforts left to give.
You better believe the internet whole-heartedly supports the decision to spot putting in any kind of effort for those toxic managers. She already gave the courtesy of a 2-weeks notice, if they are going to continue to disrespect her to the very last minute of her working there, then she should just stop working.
