Font - r/AmItheA A: Posted by u/jackjack_d3mon AITA for speaking up about a bad employer? I work in a deli for closing shifts and for a few nights this one employee who wants to be a leader and disagrees with what the manager tasks us to do to take care for closing shifts.

Font - I'd even recall that employee would share things that I had to report it to the manager that's rather concerning more than enough times.

Human body - Yet that employee doesn't care, they'd bring in drinks and food when they know they arent supposed to, or use the wrong meat at the wrong slicer cuz it can damage it.

Font - Those little rules are so simple to not do. Yet they disagree with that too, like they want to be in trouble.

Font - In the group text chat all of the employees. I let every information out in the group text. From learning who that employee is, they're manipulative.
  • 07
Font - I felt embarrassed afterwards knowing I might get fired with fear and stress in my tears. I had to talk about it with the higher managers to resolve it.
  • 08
Font - I know I should've handled my emotions better but I am questioning if I am the as le.

Human body - Edit: thank you everyone for your comments and helping me get a better perspective on what I can do better in the future.

Font - OP has offered the following explanation for why they think they might be the as I would stand by that employee and follow like they're and they want to be a leader of authority, and I'd always witness them do things they arent supposed to do, so i let things slide, yet I had enough of them and by the littlest of things they'd break and dont follow rules I'd have to report em more than enough times. I' would personally talk to them about things they arent supposed to do, yet they disagree

Font - I was deeply in distraught over it all. This experience felt familiar from my past with toxic friendships. I get shutted down for speaking up all of my life. The higher managers saw me upset and I hope things do get resolved.

Font - lushae A Enthusiast [5] YTA - instead of going to managers or the person directly, you put it all out on the group chat. Doing so does nothing, as it just paints you as vindictive and childish. You should apologise on the GC for making a big deal and that you'll deal with issues properly from now on

Rectangle - atmasabr Enthusiast [9] YTA. Don't share your grievances about your co-workers' A performance with anyone but the co-worker, or your boss. The only exception is maybe things that are too petty for a boss to take action on.

Font - linette83 YTA. You are not their boss. Stop acting like it. If there are issues, you report them privately and professionally to a manager. At least now your colleagues know that you are a snitch so they can watch out for you.

Font - EpiphanaeaSedai A: Enthusiast [6] NTA. You could have handled it better, but breaking food safety rules can kill people. I have a good friend who has severe allergies, and she d near died just two weeks ago from cross-contaminated coffee. Your coworker is literally risking lives and needs to understand that or else not have a job where they handle food.
